The Mille in her new home!

As some of you already know, this was Steve's baby. He graciously sold her to me, and went above and beyond the call of duty getting the whole sale off the ground, from paperwork to shipping. Steve, you are a stand-up guy, and the Mille exceeds all expectations...thank you for everything.

Thanks to my friend, Don, the man with the truck and trailer, who made time to help me out in getting the Mille home.

And a ringing endorsement to the shipping company, Forward Air, they were easy to use, CHEAPER AND QUICKER than ground transport.

I'm all warm and fuzzy inside...

WOOO HOOOO!!!!

Congrats

Congrats on the new ride.

Now just wait till you hit the front brakes on that bitch. BE CAREFUL! Don't grab two-fingerfuls real hard. You can PINKY brake that thing.

CONGRATS! That thing is such a fun bike - you must do a track day on it - the street doesn't begin to use its potential.

AWESOME! I liked your pictures Congrats on the new bike.

And I really like the little squidbusters sticker on the tail. I never noticed that before.

ForwardAir is the way to go. Those boxes are indestructible. As long as you know the seller pretty well, and know that they know how to tie down a bike securely and safely, there is no better transporter.

Posted by: Steve

Awesome!!! I'm glad you got her in one piece!

Like I told you, and like falcn stated... BE CAREFUL with those brakes. You could do a 2 finger lockup with no problem...

Oh, and be prepared to get a ticket. That bike is so deceptively fast it's not funny. The sense of speed (or lack there of) is unlike any other bike I've ridden. She wants to go fast. She wants to rail. She's not happy putting to the grocery store.

...and then there was one.

Now, to lower her, and to figure out the dash computer...

Posted by: Steve

Forget reading the book for the dash computer. Obviously translated from Italian with something lost along the way...

Dash:

Oh, and here's the owner's manual for the shock...

That will help with ride height...

And when tweaking the front...

Ooh length adjustable shocks are nice....

I wish the viffer had one. The FTZ does and I have used it.

Glad she made it to her new home! Have fun and be careful!!!!

Posted by: AHF

That's awesome Jason, congrats.

Steve, change you avatar knucklehead.

Posted by: Jason C

Thank you all, I'm stoked to say the least!

Another thing, I posted some pics that are ripe for chopping...bad move...lol.

Lowering the Mille right now, slow process since I'm doing it the more time consuming way, but it's going. Also got her on a bat charger.

Hope to get to AAA later today to register and plate.

Big Grin!

Still lowering the ride height...whew. Getting there...

Posted by: Wingspan

Congrats!!! You'll love it, I know I did when I rode it...so much so that I bought one just like it.

Oh, and let me throw in another warning on those brakes!

Posted by: 87swife

Congrats on the new bike!

Posted by: frayed

Congrats man... I didn't ride that one but couldn't take it anymore after being around it and his Tuono. I now have an '02. I couldn't get used to the thing until I put it on the track. (just bought track bodywork for it !! YES !!) It wants to run like an I4 and revvvv...

Have fun after 6k where she kicks in.

Finished shaving foam from seat, much better. One heal is now barely raised while at a stand still.

In the future, I'll probaby have an upholsterer put some new foam in with a new covering. Todays work will do for now, and I feel far more comfy.

Posted by: Steve

Cool deal! Glad you got the ride height where you are comfortable.

So, plant a knee on that thing yet?!
