You can apparently swap out your stock Z1000 calipers for GSXR model calipers/master cylinder for more stopping "power"

You need to get aftermarket lines though...

Non-radial mount calipers. I'll have to check the exact years.

Wonder if you could go to the '02 1000 6piston calipers? I've read about gsxr people swapping out their new 4piston calipers for older 6piston ones....they'd be heavier

Might work. If the '02 6-piston calipers fit on the 01-03 600's then I think they would work.
