I recently got a 04 ZX6RR, and the suspension is a little too rough for the streets. Is there any way that you know of to adjust it. I'm sort of arfiad to mess with it, being a new toy an all.

go to sportsrider.com & get the initial setup.
Follow these instructions for tuning.

FWIW, I found the sport Rider settings pretty good but slightly soft on compression and slightly hard on rebound....for my weight ~200lbs.
I played with it for a bit then found a place I was comfy with and left it.....I'd like to really tune it someday.

to start with, how much do you weigh? if you're over 160lbs with all your gear on, you'll need stiffer springs in the front and possibly a stronger rear. after that, you'll need to set the sag (3 or 4 people needed) and then try to dial in the rebound/compression. If you still can't get it right, try adding a gold valve and start from scratch. Another thing to check is your tires, if you're running stock bridgestones, they suck for bump absorption, you might want to switch to something more along the lines of a pilot power or a dunlop qualifier.
kawasaki's tend to be harsher than other big 4 bikes, they take a lot to get the suspension closer to right.

I weigh 230 w/ gear and yah, there Bridgstone Battlax BT012's. Dunlops eh, maybe in a couple weeks, who knows.
Thanks for the help
