Senior Technical Writer – Motorcycle Division
Torrance, CA



This position will write, edit, review and validate Owner and Service Manuals, set-up instructions and other service publications. Duties will also include coordinating drafts, assisting with the design and overall format/layout of publications and coordinating the delivery schedule of publications to match product releases.



The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in English or Journalism, a two (2) year Technical Writing Program certificate (or equivalent) and three (3) to five (5) years technical writing experience in a publications environment related to the motorcycle/automobile/technical field. Qualified candidates will have an in-depth understanding of basic automobile and motorcycle technology and publications processes such as writing, design, layout, production and printing. Experience as a technician in a mechanical field is a plus! Familiarity and experience with commercial desktop publishing hardware, software and Internet technologies (HTML, XML, PDF, JAVA, etc.) are a must. Travel will be required (10%).
